The Pink City
Yerevan was founded as the Urartian fortress of Erebuni in 782 BC. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, it has changed significantly in demographics and even architecture. The photos here show the face of Yerevan through the years since Arsineh’s first arrival in 1998 (in 1994 she was primarily based in Gyumri and has no photos of Yerevan).
